  • What happens if I'm in an emergency mental health situation?
    Retrograde Therapy Space does not provide Crisis or Emergency types of services. If you are in need of Emergency/Crisis services you can utilize the following numbers Medical Emergency: 9-1-1 // Mental Health Crisis: 9-8-8 // Suicide Lifeline: 1-800-273-8255 // Domestic Violence Help: 1-800-799-7233
  • I don’t live in PA or DE. Can I still make an appointment?
    Unfortunately due to current licensure laws, I can only see individuals who currently reside in the states of Pennsylvania and Delaware.
  • Do you see couples?
    Yes. I especially enjoy working with couples seeking to navigate non-monogamy together
  • How long are therapy sessions?
    Initial appointments are 50-60 minutes, and subsequent sessions are 45-50 minutes. For more info on what to expect during your initial session, I lay it all out for you on the How to Start page.
  • What if I’m running late to a session?
    If you are running late to session, please send me a quick email to let me know. Otherwise after 10 minutes into our scheduled time, if I do not see or hear from you, I will consider it a missed appointment, our appointment will be canceled, and you will be charged the late cancellation/no show fee. If by chance I do not hear from you and you show up after the 10min window, I may not be available as at the point the session is considered canceled.
  • Do you work with children or teens under 18?
    I do not.
  • Do you have a cancellation policy?
    Yes. Please provide 24 hour notice if you need to cancel or change your scheduled appointment. Appointments not canceled with 24 hour notice will be charged the full session fee. Please be on time for your session. If you are late, the session will still end on time and you will still be responsible for full payment amount.
  • Do you take insurance? What about sliding scale rates?
    I am in-network for PA Aetna plans. For other insurances I am an out-of-network provider, which means I don't take insurance. Instead, I am out-of-pocket. If you have out-of-network benefits from your insurance company, I can email you monthly Superbills to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. I additionally offer a certain number of sliding scale spots for those who are experiencing substantial financial concerns; I simply ask that the client, when setting their own fee, consider whether they have access to inherited wealth or class privilege. I invite those who do to pay my full fee or on the higher end of my scale, allowing me to make myself available to those who aren't able to afford the full fee.   • What do I need for telehealth sessions?
    Access to a computer/phone/tablet with a camera and microphone Wi-Fi connection A quiet, private, noise-free space that is free of distractions. ​ Please do not have sessions with others (pets are welcome!) in the room without notifying me ahead of time. It is important that we have privacy to talk freely and confidentially.
